Wheatland Park is surrounded by woods on the north end of the Pomme Arm of the lake. The shelter is located on the east end of the park and provides ample shade with the surrounding trees. Visitors can enjoy several amenities held at this park including a boat ramp and a swim beach. Recreation Pomme de Terre Lake is popular among water skiers and anglers. A number of coves on the lake provide seclusion for ideal fishing conditions, regardless of power boating on other areas of the lake.
