About venues.cheap & how we verify

venues.cheap is a free, independent directory of rentable spaces across the United States — community halls, park shelters, church fellowship rooms, restaurant private rooms, studios, lodges, theaters and conventional event venues. Price transparency is the point: we show rates, units, fees and deposits whenever a venue publishes them.

We are not a booking platform

We don’t take reservations, payments or commissions, and we never show live availability. Every listing links to the venue’s own contact details and website.

Where information comes from

• Venue sources — structured data published on a venue’s or public agency’s own website, or a feed a partner has authorized, collected by our crawler venuescheapbot, which obeys robots.txt and rate limits.
• Venue operators — details provided by verified owners are labelled “provided by the venue operator” and are not independently verified.
• Submissions — suggestions from the public are reviewed before publication and labelled as submitted.

Freshness

Each price shows when it was recorded and last checked. Prices not re-established within 90 days are hidden behind a “needs verification” label. Broken websites never remove a listing on their own; we mark it for verification. Listings are unpublished as closed only with explicit evidence — repeated statements from the venue’s own source, the verified owner, or our staff.

Photos

Venue photos appear only when supplied by the venue or properly licensed, with attribution. Illustrations on our home and category pages are artwork, not photos of listed venues.

Sponsorship

There are no paid placements today. If we add sponsored listings later, they will be clearly labelled and will never change organic ranking or price comparisons.
